The eagle hovers slightly above the jungle of life. The dynamic, up-down verticality of the jungle prevails while energy surges upwards towards the sky. Various creatures, ghosts or spirits hang or are suspended within this profusion. A miniature, slightly anthropomorphic (note the similarity to a human head) version of the eagle appears at the lower right side of the bird.

The painting titled 'LIFE' is intended to express the energy and power, the beauty and splendor, the challenge and mystery of life itself. The setting, environment or context is a Jungle where plant, animal and human life become interchangeable and inseparable manifestations of the life force. In the midst of the creative process however a secondary meaning presented itself. At the center of the painting the torso, head and outstretched arms of a crucified Christ appeared.
