Archetypal Manifestations of the Personal Spirit:
Colored Drawings and Smaller Scale Work on Paper.
This smaller, deeply personal and intimate work is rooted in a gift and compulsion for drawing that emerged most conspicuously around age 15 to 16, now underpinned and inspired by Jungian and object relations psychology, in tandem with Rudolf Steiner’s color theory.
True to my surrealist roots, myths, themes and other content appear entirely spontaneously, impelled and determined by moods, thoughts, emotions, interests and inclinations that can occur and change from moment to moment. Much of this work is on going, reflecting ideas, studies, explorations and investigations often leading to and included in larger scale work. They also act as stand-alone work, more easily accessible and versatile in terms of applicability than the larger work.
